Meet a Tradifier - Mark (NZ Sales Team)

by Team Tradify, March 11, 2022

Who are you and where are you from?

I’m Mark. I’m 23 years old, born in a small town near Stuttgart, Germany. I moved to New Zealand when I was 8 and was living it up in Tauranga until I finished school and went to Dunedin for university.

What's your role at Tradify?

I’m a graduate inside sales specialist. Basically, I’m here to get in contact with customers and learn more about them and their businesses!

The best thing about working with tradespeople is…

They have great banter! They’re always really straightforward and honest, which is super refreshing and makes my job very easy. I totally respect the approach they have to life and work!

What are you most looking forward to now that you're working at Tradify?

I really liked the sound of Tradify’s culture when I first applied for the job and it’s something that continues to impress me the more time I spend here. I like that they’re a supportive company that wants to help its employees unlock their potential. I also thought that the app itself was pretty cool and interesting. Oh, and I heard that people can bring their dogs to work which I can’t wait to see — haha!

How do you like to down tools and relax?

During my days off, I really enjoy catching up with my mates. Whether that is going on spontaneous adventures or gaming with them, it’s always great fun. I also love playing sports like football and basketball.

Quickfire round:

Cats or dogs?

I can’t decide. Honestly, I love them both.

Tea or coffee?

Coffee but I do enjoy a cheeky cup of tea from time to time.

What's your favourite thing to do in summer?

Spend a good day at the beach or going on an adventure, then head back home for a couple of beers with my mates.

Favourite lunchtime meal?

Can’t beat a good cheese toastie!

If you could instantly master any trade, what it would be?

Probably doing some sort of landscaping… hopefully just mowing lawns because I really like the smell of freshly cut grass.

Which country do you most want to travel to?

Peru! I've always wanted to see Machu Picchu. But at this point, I just want to go anywhere in the world.

If you could have a conversation with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be? Why?

Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I really enjoy astrophysics and he makes it sound so interesting.

What is one song you will be adding to the Tradify music playlist?

Honestly, I’d add a whole bunch of songs if I could. But for the vibes, Electric Feel - MGMT.
