Inbound Sales Specialist

To help us hit our aggressive growth targets, we need an outstanding Inbound Sales Specialist. Your number one priority will be to help us grow the Tradify user base every month by acquiring new customers. You’ll do this primarily by enabling our trialists to achieve success and migrate to paid subscriptions. You will be passionate about helping others using world-class tech and be able to communicate and build a strong rapport with a variety of different people.

Our team is set to scale and we are looking for individuals who can work at a rapid pace and love the challenge of hitting ambitious individual and team targets. The role isn’t your usual 9 to 5. If you want to succeed in this role, you will be comfortable taking full ownership of a sales pipeline and you will be willing to go above and beyond to help our customers achieve success at each interaction. You’ll need to be resourceful as you won’t have a full stack of sales collateral to help you close deals. You’ll be building this with the team as we grow.

Your most important tasks will be to empathetically engage with our customers and trialists over the phone (you will be talking to 30 plus trade businesses a day).  You will get to know their business and help them understand what Tradify can do for them. You will be answering their questions, solving their problems and championing their needs to help them to be successful. You’ll need to follow established sales processes, plus suggest new ideas to help us improve on our existing processes.  We know we don’t have all the answers. We’re working as a team to learn fast and rapidly improve.

In a typical day, you might:

  • Talk on the phone with more than 30 new trialists to get to know their business, understand their needs, learn what problems they are looking to solve and help them determine whether Tradify is the right solution for them. 

  • Run live demos, where you dive into Tradify and show trialists how they can use the system in their own business.

  • Answer phone calls, emails and texts from trialists - help them with any issues or questions and help them see how Tradify can help their business.

  • Jump into a sales meeting to review your own and the team’s weekly and month to date numbers and discuss any challenges and opportunities - how to handle them and what we can do to improve across the team.

  • Take a break and play a quick game of darts on our office dartboard.

  • Get stuck into a problem a trialist is having and help them figure out a solution with Tradify.

  • Collaborate with the design, engineering and marketing teams to push the voice of the customer through to the rest of the business.

  • Enjoy a slice of cake with the team to celebrate our latest growth milestone.

You’re going to love this job if you:

  • Have 1-2 years experience in a sales role and the talent and desire to exceed your targets.

  • Are highly empathetic, and can relate well to a variety of people.  

  • Love to find ways to make technology understandable and relatable. Many of the people you’ll be talking to are great at what they do but are not familiar with software like Tradify.

  • Are highly organised and have great attention to detail - you’ll need to follow established sales processes and juggle lots of different tasks.

  • Have “the gift of the gab” – you have excellent written and verbal communications skills, as you'll be chatting with customers and trialists all day via phone, email, and SMS.

  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment where everyone is friendly, smart and driven.

  • Believe that Tradies do important work and that supporting them to do their work better is an awesome thing to be a part of.

  • Have a creative streak and love finding new ways to connect with customers.

  • Are resourceful - you’ll need to figure out the best way to get each trialist over the line.

Your first few weeks will look like: 

  • Successfully complete product, sales and sales tool training with the outcome that you’ll be ready to jump on the phone to speak confidently with trialists about what Tradify can do for their business.

  • Put a sales development plan in place and work towards achieving growth.  

  • Utilise a Gap selling technique to help trialists identify their problems and the impact this is having on their business. 

  • Exceed your individual sales target in your first two months in the role. 

We’re a team of over 30 friendly & diverse people who work and play hard, but we’re growing rapidly, and this role is going to grow too. You’ll report to the Head of Sales, but beyond that you’ll be working across a flat team where everyone shares in the same purpose and pitches in as needed.
