Name: Dave Erby

Hometown?
Christchurch, NZ.

What do you do at Tradify?
Customer Support - that means i'm the one on the other end of the line when tradies need a hand.

When did you start at Tradify?
December 2020, just a baby in the support team!

The best thing about working with Tradespeople is…
All of the tradies I’ve met are models of the perfect person you want to be helping out in support. Honest and straight to the point - it makes helping them solve their problems so much easier.

What’s the top priority in your role, right now?
Ensuring that our tradies get the best support that they can possibly get, as soon as they need it!

Favourite feedback from a Tradify customer?

“I didn’t realise the length of your reply. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer everything like that. It’s great to have a support team and not get automatic replies from a robot! Hope to see job/calendar alerts in the future too.” Brendan, Roof Force Australia

What are you most excited about for Tradify?
Coming onboard while the company is still in its big growth phase is really exciting. Being able to see the product change and improve from week to week is super cool. Throw in getting to work with some really close mates and what’s not to love?!

Finally, some quick-fire questions:

Cats or dogs?
Can I pick both? I have 3 cats (Louie - Ginger, Phoebe - Tortie, and Malcolm - White), but I love dogs too!

daves three cats

Snow or Sand?
Sand

In my downtime I…
Am a rugby league tragic, I live and breath the NZ Warriors, outside of that I’m a bit of a geek.

On a scale of 1-10, my DIY skills are…
A 3 might be pushing, I did build a desk and it hasn’t fallen apart yet though so you know, go me?!

If I was a tradie, I would be a…
Electrician, probably!

My favourite holiday was to…
Hawaii back in 2017

dave and his family

My favourite Tradify office dog is…
Gizmo, it’s gotta be, right?

The last song I added to the Tradify playlist was…
I haven’t actually done this yet but it’d be something in the pop-punk genre if I did!

My secret productivity hack is…
Noise cancelling headphones - bless the person who invented those ;)
